Skipton Chamber of Trade and Commerce celebrated 120 years in 2017!
One of the first and longest-running organisations of its type in the UK; it was created by Skipton businesses, for Skipton businesses and has continued ever since.
Skipton has a unique feel to it. It still holds traditional values, whilst embracing new advances in technology and marketing methods. However, it has a tremendous community which holds strong core values, which means it features highly in surveys which rate the Town as one of the happiest, safest places to live and work.
Skipton Chamber of Trade and Commerce is run by a volunteer group (executive) of business people. It relies on membership to be able to survive and provides the opportunity for business owners to come together to support one another. Also coordinating the annual Town Guide, which is provided freely to visitors of the Town and the annual Business Awards, celebrating the 'Best' in Skipton and BD23 areas.
